Had some snow this week and went for a walk in a local park with my wife and dog. I went for breaking the Rule of Thirds and the rule about emphasizing your subjects.
Fill the Frames, Portrait, and Window Light were the three challenges I used for this week’s challenge. Had my son sit in front of the Christmas tree and shot this at f1.8.
In the middle of a cemetery in town this tree stands over the gravesites. I was walking through early one morning and liked the light and the look of this tree with the sun behind it.
I took a bunch of photos at this location for this challenge with and without the road included, but I liked this one the best. When I saw the challenge for the week I thought of this lone tree in a field and got lucky with a cloudy day which I thought fit better.
I used my lawn mower as a common object and wanted to signify the end of the mowing season. Used a small light to light the mower and had some good color in the sky.
