Off the beaten path with my x100vi
Silver Falls State Park is only about a 20 minute drive from our house and I really enjoy getting out and going for walks up there. I take different cameras depending on the mood I am in and recently I decided to travel light and just take the Fujifilm x100vi with no tripods, just me and the camera. I always have to grab a photo of South Falls and this one was handheld.
After that I decided to walk around the lodge and take a few shots.
Then I went for a little walk up a service road out of the way from the typical walking trails and away from the people. I was shooting in raw, which I seldom do on this camera, but like the way it renders colors and wanted to try something different.
It was a hazy morning and was going for a couple moody shots and playing with the light.
A few days later I went back and the sun was peaking through the trees, making some interesting light.
I enjoyed traveling light and shooting differently than I normally do. Shooting raw allowed me to edit more in post and bring out the light and colors. I still enjoy shooting jpeg and not editing but sometimes it’s good to try something different.
